CMS-Geotech owns and operates the MV Flatholm, a 24m survey vessel classified to sail within European waters to 60m offshore. She is UK MCGA Category II classified, JNCC and is fully COWRIE compliant.
With accommodation for 12 people, dedicated survey laboratory, heavy lifting equipment and a 50 square meter aft deck she provides a comfortable and practical space for a wide range of survey operations. Available for long & short term charters with full crew.

With over 25 years experience of working within the marine survey industry Managing Director of CMS-Geotech, Dr David Hitchcock is well placed to provide specialist bespoke consultancy advice to a variety of sectors
David has run his own marine survey company for 23 years during which time he also worked with the US government in an advisory capacity on the environmental effects of dredging. He has a PhD in marine geology and has worked extensively within the marine aggregates and marine mineral mining industry.
David can advise and work with marine survey site investigation planning, geotechnical & geophysical interpretation, geohazard analysis, seabed processes & sedimentology, dredging performance parameters & determination of geotechnical hazards.
